Meva has specialized in the production of shafts for electric pumps and provides the full range of classes of motor shafts from Mec 56 to Mec 180. We use steels supplied exclusively by Italian steel companies and ensure the traceability of all raw materials used.

Thanks to the CN machinery, we are able to produce shafts with complex geometries and high technical standards, in compliance with international standards, and with constant supervision over the process. Sophisticated 3D reading equipment and working with cameras, allows us to check the conformity of the product and to issue, upon request, a dimensional inspection report.

A peculiarity of Meva is the know-how in the friction welding of carbon steel with special alloys of series 303, 304, and 316, which is an important implementation in pumps working with aggressive fluids.

The demand for shafts of submersible engines is met by Meva with an innovative response to the execution of the notched end. Enhancing the rolling process by using a CNC high-powered, hydraulic rolling machine and with a deep study on the geometry of the incremental rollers, Meva carries out the notching via cold deformation rather than by the traditional chip removal techniques. This notching offers obvious advantages: it improves the coupling with the low roughness factor; it eliminates sharp edges of the notches, and increases the durability due to the surface hardening from the modification of the crystalline structure.

The range of shafts: 3"- 4" - 5"- 6" is perfectly suited for the Nema norms.
